Literary Listings Inaugural Lunch, October 13, 2023 at Elwood Bathers

Literary Listings hosted Sally Hepworth, the New York Times bestselling author of nine novels, including her most recent book Darling Girls, Kate Mildenhall, co-host of ‘The First Time Podcast’ and novelist with her recently published third book, The Hummingbird Effect, and Amy Lovat who is the founder of ‘Secret Book Stuff’. Amy’s debut novel Mistakes and Other Lovers was published in July 2023.

The event sold out within two weeks of its announcement.

The full-house crowd (ninety guests) enjoyed a sparkling conversation, delicious food and wine in a gorgeous venue over looking Port Phillip Bay, and the level of noise just one indication of the enjoyment of our guests.

The authors were incredibly generous with their time at the conclusion of lunch, working through a very long line of guests waiting to have their recently purchased books signed. Tracey from Ulysses Books was the book seller on the day. Many photographs were also taken.

It was wonderful to have many other published authors in attendance, along with editors, librarians and booksellers, other than UIysses. We have received many compliments on the engaging author conversation, with the guests particularly commenting on the warmth and honesty of the authors when discussing a wide range of topics. Guests have also commented on inclusive sense of community in the room and the enjoyment of being with other passionate book lovers and readers. Please enjoy these images from our inaugural lunch!
